Finca La Esmeralda is located in Acevedo, Huila district, under an hour away from Pitalito, at approximately 1,700 metres above sea level. This unique region is where three major Colombian mountain ranges converge, close to the source of the Magdalena River. The combination of altitude, geography and diverse microclimates makes this area particularly well suited to coffee production. The 9-hectare farm is managed by Alexander Hernandez. They grow a selection of Laurina, Arara and Gesha varieties under the shade of cachingo, guamo and plantain trees.
